Ans: The Golden Chariot is the first luxury train that takes the guests on a trip across the most prominent destinations in South India, covering Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Goa. The train is owned by Ministry of Railways, India. The train is operated by Indian Railways and Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC).
Q-2. What is the capacity of The Golden Chariot?
Ans: The Golden Chariot houses 44 air-conditioned cabins. In these, it houses 26 twin bedded cabins, 17 double bedded cabins, and one cabin for the handicap guests.
Q-3. Which destinations are covered by this train?
Ans: The Golden Chariot is running two journeys:
a. Pride of the South: Bangalore - Kabini - Srirangapatnam - Mysore - Shravanabelagola - Belur - Halebid - Hampi - Badami - Pattadakal - Goa
b. Southern Splendour: Bangalore - Chennai - Pondicherry - Tanjavur - Madurai - Thiruvananthapuram - Alleppey - Kochi - Bangalore.
Q-5. What is the schedule of the train for this season?

Q-6. What is included in the tariff?
Ans:
- Accommodation in double / twin bedded cabins with en suite bathrooms.
- All meals, soft beverages, house brands of Indian wines, beer and spirits
- Butler service
- Guided off train excursions as illustrated in the journeys inclusive of entrance fees, still camera fee, transport and services of a guide
- Complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water on board.
Q-7. Which are the services not included in the train tariff?
Ans:
- Any optional tours as mentioned in the itinerary
- Taxes, Insurance, Gratuities
- Telephone calls, laundry, alcoholic beverages (apart from the house brands of wines, spirits, beer served in the restaurants and bar)
- Video, film and professional still camera fees
- Arrival and departure transfers
- International and domestic air tickets
- Pre and post tour accommodation and any tour extensions are not included unless specifically mentioned as part of the journeys.
Q-8. Can I smoke onboard?
Ans: In accordance with Indian Law, smoking is not permissible on board the train. Smoking is also prohibited in all public places such as restaurants, airports, stations, shopping malls, hotels, public areas etc.

Ans: Payments can be done by bank transfer or all major credit cards are acceptable such as American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Cards etc are a few of the most prominent ones to name in the order.
Q-10. Is assistance available to specially abled?
Ans: A separate cabin has been specially designed to cater to the specially abled guests on board. Additionally, facilties such as wheelchairs, creches and a personal attendant are also available.

Ans: The Golden Chariot tariff doesn't include pre and post hotel accommodation charges. It is highly recommended to the guests to book at least one day pre and post hotel accommodation for The Golden Chariot.
